all it takes is a few words. what's on your mind? and would you share it if you knew it was going to end up in a one man banjo song?

Re: I could write a song about any thing.
Thu, February 24, 2005 - 1:31 PMhe used it to make a fortune then the stones had him killed.
actually, it was bashir attar who stole the flute of bou jaloud (the father of flocks and the lord of skins) and taught the master musicians of jajouka the music which they still play today at their festival which commemorates the time when the goat man (bou jaloud) came rampaging down the mountain upon hearing the music of the flutes. but the clever attar offered him the most beautiful girl in the village as his bride if he would spare them. when jaloud returned to claim his bride, they called forth aisha, the oldest and craftiest woman in the village, though the veils concealed her age, she deftly danced out of his grap all night untill he was to tired for further pursuit, and crawled off to his cave, defeated.
that's who stole the flute, and no, he never gave it back.
brian jones is mentioned because he was the first person to produce recordings of jajouka on the album "brian jones presents the pipes of pan", though in my opinion "apocolype across the sky" is the best they have on the market. -

Re: I could write a song about any thing.
Wed, September 28, 2005 - 4:50 PMTry to make it a sort of list of pointless things that some 'sensitive artist' does in order to break writer's block... none of which include simply starting to write something.
Inspiration could be just around the corner... right? -
