"how are you set up for sound?"

Most of the Pyronauts have two ears that face slightly forwards, and capture sound in the form of vibrations.

I can play staight accoustic but you may have trouble making out what I'm singing about, however a mic for vocals is my first request, followed by a direct line in for my 1/4" banjo pick-up, if trhat's not too much to ask, then a mic on the bass drum, followed by one for the tamborine would be next in line. otherwise, enclosed areas are best for my accoustic show, as to have some insulation from the random amorphos soundscapes which wander on the desert breeze. amplified sets are preferable, as they tend to be less taxing on the voice, followed by any set with the flowing of free drinks, dinner, party favors, snacks, ect.

next is the co-ordinates, tell me where you are at, so I can make a note of it. I also tend to play sets which cater to the theme If I am able. however, I must confess, I don't jam along with d.j.s too well, I prefer to give them their space & hopefully they will give me mine. unless I move over to percussion, then I jam along with gusto.

so, that's my manifesto.

You handsome piece of banjo!!
We'll keep the cold drinks a'comin' if you grace our Bluegrass Jam at 2pm on Saturday (actually, all day Saturday is Bluegrass day, so stop by anytime!)
We're enclosed and welcoming, but only acoustic. (one amp and four speakers - not a dj camp fur sure!!)

hard to say for sure other than center cafe friday night.
all other plans are tentative & my angle is to work for the best offers I can get.
sound systems set up for accoustic/electric music are preferred & treats sweeten the pot.
but past expirience tells me that where ever I end up camping (x-factor) will determine my nearby favorite haunts
(I wheel my gear around on a cart) that is unless I get a ride on an art car/flying saucer,ect.
so far, every one on the list who has made an offer is in concideration but it boils down to where I'm at.
where are you at?

                I just blogged this a little while ago;
                domino
                'twas back in the summer of '07, I was contacted to play a party for Google at the shoreline amphitheater. I sold a copy of my c.d. "Harlequin King" to a stilt walker, or wait, was that the stilt walker at the Marin county arts fest? on any account I remember distinctly that it was a stilt walker, who as it turns out was also a videographer. he contacted me later to ask if he could use my music for his time lapse video of the burning man festival '07. this is the result: www.youtube.com/watch . this is good for me because I have sold several copies of my album as a result, who knows, maybe you will buy one. I always have them at shows, or if you don't mind an old fashioned mail order, we can do it that way. call it wishful thinking? there's always room for it. on any account, one thing leads to another and so forth.

                and now I'm spamming it here because I was tripping on the fact that so many people will now associate my name & music with this festival. I don't mind, I've been to 7 of those bastards (burning man festivals, that is), I met met my marching band there ( www.extra-action.com ), took part in the epic of the la contessa ( www.flickr.com/photos/herby_fr/52348408/ www.flickr.com/photos/herby_fr/52348408/ www.flickr.com/photos/sup.../316943143/ ) gonna miss that ship (two of her songs are documented on Harlequin King. ) . the only irony was that I was not in attendance this year as a result of being too skinned after my European tour with extra action ( www.youtube.com/watch ) . what's my point? check me out, you like burning man, you like me, buy my album(s). www.1manbanjo.com
